dc.description.abstract The complexity and large size of projects have been challenging project organizations and pushing the management scientists to search for more reliable and dependable tools to assist project managers to handle the challenges come up with large and complex projects and to support project management. Organizations acquire PMIS (Project Management Information Systems) as a software application to provide support for project managers in project planning, monitoring, controlling and closing. However, the actual influence of PMIS on agile project management has remained unknown. The purpose of this research study is set to examine the relationship between use of PMIS and agile project management, to assess the information quality and system quality of PMIS presently used in those organizations and to determine the impact of PMIS on the process of agile project management. The model of this research study is composed of four constructs: use of PMIS, information quality of PMIS, system quality of PMIS. The analysis of data collected through questionnaires from 152 project managers evidenced that PMIS positively influence agile project management process, PMIS cause efficiency and effectiveness in agile project management and improve the overall process. This study shows that the use of PMIS and information quality of PM IS have a statistically positive impact on agile process while the relationship between the system quality of PMIS and agile process isn't statistically significant. The dimensions of PMIS have 53% impact on agile project management process and 28% percent overall variation in agile project management is explained by PMIS. This study suggest IT companies practicing agile project management to ensure the utilization of PMIS and provide knowledge of the systems to project managers in order to fully avail those systems and stay competitive in the business as those systems have direct positive impact on agile project management process. en_US
