| dc.description.abstract | The aim of the project is to design a voice enabled home automation system. The general idea behind this project is that whenever a voice command is given to the system, then the system should understand the command and perform the desire operation. The working of the system is as whenever a user gives a command in the microphone, system will process his voice command and determine what he has said and will send enable/disable signal through serial port to the microcontroller and the microcontroller will turn on/off device or perform other defined tasks. This project has two complex sound processing algorithms for the processing of the sound one for the voice recognition and other for the word recognition. Both the algorithms are developed in matlab and hence a high processing device is needed so a computer will be used for calculations. We need to design a system with the help of which we will be able to provide quite a bit of help to all those disabled persons who cannot move and need care around the clock and their loved ones. Other than for the disabled person it is a revolutionary step in taking the technology to the next level there are remote controlled devices available, but there aren’t voice controlled environment other than in sci-fi movies, bringing this kind of environment in real life is really exciting. | en_US |
