dc.description.abstract The project is to implement a system in a University bus with a full control room, where the server terminal controls different services of the bus. The project is based on three functional divisions. These three divisions include GPS and GSM, server terminal and the hardware system including LCD. GPS and GSM systems are installed in the university bus which is communicating to the server terminal. The first division updates its information (GPS Coordinates, speed and time) to the server through SMS message. The role of server terminal is to process the incoming information from the bus and also sends it to student’s cell phones as well as the system that is installed at the bus stop. The third part is a system that is installed at the bus stops; it includes a LCD display which displays the bus arrival time, coming from the server terminal. The motivational factor behind this project idea is to establish a more secure and comfortable transport system in public as well as in private sector. The project will give a full and secure conveyance to the faculty and students to avoid their waste of time. In future, there are many enhancements in this project e.g. to implement a full bus system for public as well as for private level. The idea will also use to implement a secure railway system. en_US
