dc.description.abstract The major objective of this study is impact of transactional leadership and organizational justice on employee retention with mediating effect of organizational commitment in higher education institutions of twin cities of Pakistan. In the current study, to fmd whether organizational justice and effective leadership will prove to be helpful in retaining the employees in educational institutes in twin cities or not. The research uses quantitative approaches for enhancing the validity of the research. The study hypotheses were developed by using the deducted approach. Current study was limited to public and private universities located in twin cities of Pakistan (Rawalpindi and Islamabad). Both male and female teaching fac ulty members were considered as the population of the study.337 responses were received from fourteen Universities, so the sample size of this study is 337 respondents. The scale was adopted from different studies and validity and reliability were tested using SPSS and AMOS software. Hypotheses of the study were also tested by using Hayes Process. The association is proved by the results, and it is proposed that Organizational Commitment mediates the relationship between Organizational Justice and Employee Retention showing the results as (P=0.05, z=2.86, p<O.OOO). It is also proved that Organizational Commitment mediates the relationship between Transactional Leadership and Employee Retention showing the results as (p=0.05, z=2.91, p<O.OOO).Moreover, the results of the current assessment are limited to employees in the twin cities of Pakistan. Future longitudinal and preliminary studies would help to validate the causal approaches investigated in the current assessment. en_US
