dc.description.abstract Conflicts are one of the basic aspects of life especially within organizations. Conflict management is a problem to be addressed in resolving the described problem and in managing the negative impacts of organizational conflicts. A number of studies have reported that Big Five Personality Factors can be used to forecast the style of conflict handling at work of individuals. The purpose of this study is to reproduce the relationship between the five factors of personality and the five styles of conflict management in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The current study explores the role of individual differences with respect to the personality traits and it relationship with conflict handling styles to management conflict. The study uses big five personality trait model which includes extroversion, openness, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and neuroticism, and the five conflict styles which are collaborating, accommodating, competing, avoiding, and compromising. The questionnaire borrowed from published literature, named as Big Five Inventory and Organizational Conflict Inventory. and it was used to collect data. The population of study is all private banks of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The study comprises of 305 bank employees working in these two cities. The data was gathered by convenience sampling technique. For data analysis, SPSS version 22 is used and correlation, reliability and regression analysis are used as a test. en_US
