dc.description.abstract This study examines the impact of emotional intelligence (EI) on academic achievement among Business students of universities. Business schools attract large student enrollment and contribute significantly towards financial stability of Higher Education Institutions (HEis) across the globe. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is the globally accepted American I measure for academic performance of the business graduates, while employers and the entrepreneurial industry needs intelligent and street smart graduates. Emotionally intelligent business graduates outperform their counterparts in practice, raising an important issue of . whether El has an impact of the CGPA of the business graduates. This study has addressed this issue by finding the relation between El and CGPA of the students enrolled at various business schools ranked according to university ranked index. Questionnaire is used in this I study to obtain information on students' Emotional intelligence skill as well as their : i performance in academia. The findings reveal that respondents with high Emotional I I Intelligence has relatively significant impact on the CGPA of the students in the business 1 schools ranked higher on the HEC (Higher Education Commission) official website. This study investigates four domains of Emotional Intelligence such as self awareness, social awareness, 1 I self motivation and emotional management that are found to be positively as well as sign ificantly associated with that of the respondents' CGPA (Academic achievement). These results were discussed in the context of the influence of emotional intelligence on university student's academic achievement after applying statistical technique SPSS. en_US
