dc.description.abstract Pakistan is amongst one of the leading nations in the region where the telecom sector reforms were well conceived and properly planned. The telecommunication sector in Pakistan has shown significant growth since the promulgation of Pakistan Telecommunication (Reorganization) Act of 1996. Productive employee performance is pivotal for the performance of any organization. Purpose: Organizations invest significant funds in their employee's training and development to increase their efficiency and effectiveness. The current study helps in understanding the value of organizational citizenship behaviour, its antecedents and their impact on job satisfaction. Methodology: This study uses quantitative technique to collect data from 385 respondents from different companies of telecom sector such as PTCL, Warid, Jazz, Zong and Telenor. The study uses correlation and regression to analyse the collected data. Results: The study concludes that justice prevailing in an organization serves as a motivational factor for positive behaviour of employees. Also, psychologically empowered employees are a fruitful resource. On the other hand, emotionally exhausted employees might prove to be detrimental for organization’s performance. Organizational citizenship behaviour is enhanced by organizational justice and psychological empowerment. OCB is hindered by emotional exhaustion of employees. Future Direction: In future studies relationship between on cross sectional analysis, research also be conducted in other sector of Pakistan such as Banking, construction, education and insurance firms as well. en_US
