dc.description.abstract Drawing on Sociometer theory and Self-verification theory, this study proposes a mediation model to examine the impact of workplace ostracism on Employee creativity with the underlying mechanism of Organization-based Self-Esteem, among the frontline employees of the airline industry of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Pakistan. The aim of this quantitative study was to investigate the impact of independent variable that is Workplace Ostracism on the dependent variable i.e. Employee Creativity through a mediator which in this case is Organization based Selfesteem. This was a cross sectional deductive study and its purpose was to find out whether ostracism impacts an employee’s self-esteem which then lowers employee’s creativity. A total of 175 valid questionnaires were collected and analyzed from two of the large private airlines of Pakistan through SPSS 23.0. The results indicate that Workplace Ostracism has a negative impact on Employee Creativity. Furthermore, this negative relationship is mediated by Organization-based Self-Esteem in such a way that employees with higher self-esteem will have higher levels of employee creativity and those with lower self-esteem will have lower levels of employee creativity. In conclusion, the findings are discussed in theoretical and practical implications along with the limitations that were faced and recommendations of future directions for the scholars. en_US
