dc.description.abstract The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how employees’ perceptions of workplace ostracism might reduce their job performance, as well as how the negative workplace ostracism–job performance relationship might be buffered by emotional exhaustion. The study also determines the mediating role of emotional exhaustion. The methodology section clarifies the technique of the research study. It incorporates technique, research instruments, and sample size, reliability of the factors/variables, data collection method. sources. The purpose of the examination is to investigate the role of workplace ostracism on job performance with the mediating effect of emotional exhaustion. The investigation is likewise causal as the impact of IV on DV is examined. The present examination is cross-sectional besides information is accumulated in the particular time frame. The population of the research study is Managerial staff working in the Higher education sector Pakistan. According to the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the total recognized universities are 211. In this regard, we choose three renowned public sector universities as a population which is Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, NUST Islamabad, COMSATS University Islamabad. The logic of choosing the three institutions was that they have been providing quality education for the previous several years in different disciplines and teaching values in the young group of Pakistan. Data was collected using a questionnaire form 317 employees working in the Higher education sector located in twin cities Islamabad/ Rawalpindi. SPSS used to test hypotheses. Results indicate workplace ostracism has a negative and significant relationship with job performance. The mediating role of job performance between the relationship workplace ostracism and job performance was also supported results. en_US
