dc.description.abstract This is the age of intense competition one of the most valuable assets which organizations own which are termed in literature as human capital and Financial Stability. Those organizations who have strong and stable financial position are capable to retain its talented/ resourceful employees in times of shear competition which can be the competitive advantage of the organization in long run, Organizations compete in the market economy through its intangible assets, In comparison to human capital and teclmology the teclmology can be replaced at easily by putting resources, but human capital cannot be substituted at once completely, In modem economy retaining quality human capital is the prime concern and focus of attention for organizational Human resource heads but it could only be possible if the organization have strong and sustainable financial position. Sustainability is the key for successful functioning of the organization. In this era the tTaditional HR practices are not sufficient enough to meet the challenges facing by the organizations so, Green HRM is one of the top embraced policy for many organizations through this they can achieve cost reduction and become more financial sustainable and able to retain valuable human resource capital successfully. One of the key issue of modem times is the attitude and behavior of e.m ployees at work place, and how the organizational citizenship behavior towards environment be achieved, because generally employees doesn't feel themselves as part of organization so they are reluctant to adopt the changes and modem practices of green HRM. Through this study we try to observe the impact of Green HRM practices on employee OCBE at workplace directly and indirectly through employee's pro-environment behavior and along with the impact of Work climate perception among Universities employees of Islamabad Pakistan. As universities hold a distinct place in societies being a key contributor in shaping them. Universities are centers of knowledge creation and distribution. Studies showed that those employees who adopt GHRM practices can have a strong OCBE. In this study Employees pro-environment is taken as mediating variable which mediate the relationship among GHRM and OCBE, in order to collect the data this study used closed ended questionnaires from Top universities of Islamabad Pakistan. SPSS is employed to test. hypotheses. This study measured the relationship between above variables in the vicinity of Islamabad Pakistan, en_US
