dc.description.abstract Present study aims to investigate the impact of extrinsic motivation and management support on knowledge sharing behavior directly and indirectly with mediation of job attitude in telecommunication sector of Islamabad. To conduct this study a detailed literature is reviewed and arguments are presented. Theory model of study is based on social exchange theory. In order to investigate the model of study data is collected from telecommunication sector of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. 400 responses are collected and detailed analysis is conducted with (PLS-SEM) to test the hypotheses studied. Results of study are based on factor loading, construct & discriminant validity, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, variance inflation factor and SEM (structural equation modeling). Findings support the positive impact of extrinsic motivation on knowledge sharing behavior of middle management of telecommunication sector, while also management support positively influence knowledge sharing behavior of middle management in telecommunication sector. Results support mediation of job attitude in relationship between extrinsic motivation and knowledge sharing behavior. Furthermore, job attitude also mediates relationship of management support and knowledge sharing behavior. Organizations must develop human resource policies to implement extrinsic motivation and to promote knowledge sharing. First of all, how the extrinsic motivation and rewards can help in building positive job attitude is the clue for organizations and managers if they want to cultivate the knowledge sharing culture. Management support can also help the managers to gain competitive advantage through knowledge sharing attitude. en_US
