Abstract:
Purpose:
The aim of this study is to determine the link between green supply chain practices on
organizational effectiveness. Study is comprising of five independent variables green
production, eco packaging, reverse logistics, cooperation with customer and investment
recovery and tries to figure out their impact on overall organizational effectiveness. Study will
measure impact of these five components of green supply chain to understand their impact on
organizational effectiveness of manufacturing firm Karachi shipyard and engineering works.
Methodology/sample:
The nature of research is descriptive and quantitative for which deductive approach
adopted. A well-structured questionnaire was used as research instrument for the collection of
primary data. Using SPSS software, statistical tools, Cronbach Alpha, Pearson Correlation,
Multi Regression and Co-efficient Correlation tests were applied. Data was collected from 150
middle level managerial employees working in different departments of KS&EW.

Findings:
By analyzing the data received from KS&EW by using statistical tool software SPSS. The
finding were in support. All the hypothesis of green supply chain practices are accepted
because all of the five components have impact on organizational effectiveness. But the level
of relation was different and hence necessary actions were required to improve them.
Practical Implications:
The research explained by following or implementing the green supply practices, firms over
all effectiveness improved. Over all as company is following as well as keep training
employees regarding green practices. Also company is adopting latest supply chain strategies
by timely amendments, its overall effectiveness improving as well. Although in order to
achieve more significant results, company have to concentrate over packaging and customer
cooperation more while paying a bit attention to reverse logistics and investment recovery.
