Abstract:
Purpose: The main purpose ofthe study is to analyze that how certain factors that are Risk
and Return, Management Expertise, Investor income and Demographic factors affect the
investor behavior towards investment in mutual fund.
Methodology & Design: The research has selected a statistical research design based on a
quantitative study using correlational analysis using questionnaire with 275 respondents as
the present study attempts to inquire about the personal experience of investors while
investing in mutual funds and the factors that affect their behavior.
Findings: The findings are based on the study that the investor behavior is affected by ,
Management Expertise, Investor income and Demographic factors and not preferably by
Risk and Return.
Limitations: Several limitation were being faced such as the short time period due to which
respondent didn’t cross 300+ and most significantly Covid-19 was also a factor where
personal visit were restricted, which also become a casualty from data collection point of
view.
Recommendations: It is recommended that the investors should take the benefit of
management expertise if they lack knowledge of mutual fund and should try to focus on income as
if it is being affected positively so they should increase investment. This is the
central attraction now for many researchers who wanted to understand the behavior ofthe
investor who prefers to invest in the mutual fund
