Abstract:
Purpose:
The purpose of this research is to identify the impact of human resource management
practices on the performance of employees working in the banking sectors of Karachi, Pakistan.
Human Resource Management practices play a major role in developing
performance management which increases the performance level of employees that also
impacts the employee perception about performance.
Methodology:
The research type used is explanatory and deductive approach was followed. The data
was collected from 25 banks and 310 responses were received by the means of primary
quantitative research and Simple random sampling technique in the form of online
questionnaire. However the data was analyzed by regression statistical technique.
Findings:
The results show that Human Resource Management Practices are positively significant
with respect to employee performance. While employee performance can become
efficient when they are given opportunity to make decisions. Performance appraisal and
employee involvement are also found to be significant in relation with employees
performance.
Implications:
The finding ofthis research are likely to help the management of banking industry. Other
organizations of banking industry may also benefit from the results of this study. As the
banking sector is an economic sector committed to the management offinancial assets for
other industries, this study may become very helpful source for theother sectors as well.
