Abstract:
Purpose: The purpose ofthis study is to understand the impact of human resource practices
on commitment and turnover of employees during Covid-19, this study evaluated the
independent variables of Human Resource Practices (Work Life Balance, and Selection and
Recruitment) and dependent variables of Employee Performance (Commitment and
Turnover)..
Methodology Sc Design: The research approach used is deductive, while the data has been
collected using a closed-ended survey questionnaire. The data has further been analysed
using Pearson Correlation and Regression analysis and the reliability of each construct has
been ensured using the value ofCronbach’s alpha.
Findings: The statistical analysis of the research shows that all four hypotheses developed
for the study are accepted. It implies that there is a strong relationship between Work Life
Balance, and Selection and Recruitment and Commitment and Turnover
Limitations: Due to the lack of adequate resources, this study has only focused on two
human resources practices: Recruitment and Selection and Work Life Balance among many
others that potentially are significant for the field. In addition to this, the employee
performance is only discussed in the context of job commitment of employees and the
turnover rate.
Recommendations: The research recommends that human resource department must
develop and implement strategies that promote a healthy balance ofemployees’ work life and
personal life to increase their performance and reduce turnover rale. Also, their suitability
and future goals must be discussed before finalizing Ihe decision in order to eliminate the
chances ofturnover and to assume their loyalty and commitment to the company.
