Abstract:
Purpose
The main purpose of this study is to identify the impact of organizational climate on job
satisfaction level of employees in telecommunication sector in Karachi. The
telecommunication sector plays a dynamic role in supporting the economic development of a
country. This research tries to value job satisfaction of employees in different
telecommunication companies. It emphasizes on the absolute significance ofjob satisfaction
of employees. It also examines the impacts of Telecommunication Company, work
experience, age, and sex differences on the attitudes toward job Satisfaction. The result
shows that salary, co-worker relation is the most important variables contributing to job
satisfaction. The overall job satisfaction of the employees in telecommunication sector is at
the positive level.
This study focuses some ofthe problems and presents an image of level ofjob satisfaction
among employees oftelecommunication companies. Telecom Companies are selected for the
study because they are currently experiencing continued development. In order to gain
competitive advantage, it is imperative for them to accomplish organization productivity by
increasing worker satisfaction. Hence this research was mainly undertaken to investigate the
impact of organizational climate on job satisfaction considering the following factors like,
job security, relationship with co-workers and job salary on the job satisfaction. This research
presents a small analysis ofjob satisfaction guides of telecom business, the factors causing
the dissatisfaction and what are the recommendations to improve them.
Methodology & Design
Data has been gathered from 398 respondents of local/regional sector of news media. 5-
Points Likert scale has been used for collection of closes ended questionnaire’s data. Data
has been gathered through the primary source of Google form and has been analyzed through
20th version of IBM SPSS.
Findings
The outcomes show that the job security possesses negative impact on the job satisfaction of
employees in the telecom sector; however coworker relationship and job salary has positive
impact on job satisfaction
Limitations
The study limitation is that it doesn’t consider the other variables that had the impact on job
satisfaction ofthe employees. This study is limited to the telecom industry of Karachi only.
Data presented in this study and the context ofthis study revolves around telecom industry of
Karachi
Recommendations
Recommendation to this study is that the organization needs to work more effectively to
satisfy the needs of its employees and make sure if they are happy with their job or not. They
should always conduct different researches to figure out the employee’s expectations and his
reviews related to the job.
