Abstract:
Purpose
This research was conducted to study the impact of intrinsic and extrinsic factors on the job
commitment ofpublic sector doctors in Karachi Pakistan.
Methodology & Design
The study was carried out in a short period of time with the sample of 21 respondents the
software used to analyze the results according to data is SPSS according to this study
intrinsic and extrinsic factor both are important for the job commitment but in case of public
sector doctors in Karachi Pakistan it is a little different.
Findings
This study found out that the commitment of doctors is purely based on extrinsic
factor, and intrinsic factors have a really little or no impact on their job commitment
if one unit or any change in extrinsic job satisfaction factors occurs it will be highly
impacted on the job commitment of doctors so it is concluded that to increase the job
commitment of public sector doctors government should improve the areas within
extrinsic factors such as their pay can be increase policies and environment can be
improved proper supervision should take place etc.
Limitations: For job commitment 1 have find out the intrinsic and extrinsic factors.

Recommendations
:
If these things happen the job commitment level of public sector doctors will increase and if
these things goes worst job commitment of public sector doctor will be declined and there
will be no use of such facilities like public sector hospitals provided by government that's
why this study will help the government to focus on enhancing the quality of extrinsic
factors so that doctors can be as committed as this profession requires commitment.
