IMPACT OF OIL PRICE, GOLD PRICE AND FINANCIAL RISK ON STOCK PRICES.

Abstract

Purpose The research purpose is to study the impact of gold price, oil price and financial risk on Dow jones conventional and Islamic stocks prices. Methodology & design The research methods is used by considering the study objectives and ease of the data collection. Thus, the deductive approach, explanatory study and secondary sources have been used to conduct this research. A sample size of monthly data which range from January 2003 to September 2019 taken using convenience sampling method. The outcome have reached by using the quantitative data analysis tools. Findings As a whole, the research conclude that there is the effect ofgoldprice, oil rate andfinancial i isk on the Dowjones conventional andIslamic stock rates. Further, it affect thefinancial markets and investors decision makingforthe purpose ofinvestments. was Limitations • The research limited to three variables namely goldprice, oilprice andfinancial risk. • Research sample size limited to the yearsfrom 2003 to 2019. • limited to the monthly data • limited to the database ofDowjones indices • Limited lime and resources available to conduct the study. Recommendations The recommendations made in the study are listed below. • Investors are recommended to make investments in gold as it benefits the both stocks. • Regulators are recommended to make investments while keep in mind the risk associated with up and down of the stocks prices. Regulators are recommended to make investments in oil for the short period.
