Abstract:
Purpose:
This study will determine the effects of BPR on the performance of logistics firms in Karachi,
Pakistan.
Methodology:
The methodology includes quantitative approach, explanatory type, and correlational design.
However, the study has used purposive sampling for collecting 280 responses from the target
population and employed PLS-SEM for data analysis using SmartPLS version 3.2.8.
Findings:
The study found that delivery speed was positively and significantly affecting the operation cost.
Also, the study also found that process automation was positively and significantly affecting the
delivery speed. Moreover, the study also found that process automation was positively and
significantly affecting the operational cost. However, it was found in the study that process
automation was negatively but significantly affecting the quality. Furthermore, the study also
found that the quality was positively and significantly affecting the operational cost.
Implications:
The managers are recommended to enhance their operational cost by increasing the delivery
speed. At first, the role of internal processes needs to be simplified as much as it can be.
Similarly, warehouse efficiency should be most important because high speed communication
between production and the warehouse in supply chain should be successful. Thirdly, the
managers are recommended to be highly careful in delivery so that it could be neat as much as
possible.
