dc.description.abstract Purpose: The purpose of this study that is to examine the structural relationship between procedural justice, work engagement and innovative work behavior. Methodology & Design: This is a quantitative study. Cross-sectional data was collected from 317 full-time employees working in the organizations belonging to the software development companies/houses of Pakistan. It is built on Social exchange theory to examine the relationship between all three constructs. It also posited work engagement as a mediator of the relationship between procedural justice and innovative work behavior. Findings: The analysis outcomes demonstrated that (1) procedural justice is positively related to work engagement, (2) Work Engagement is positively related to innovative work behavior the, (3) proceduraljustice is positively related to innovative work behavior, and (4) work engagement fully mediated the relationship between procedural justice and innovative work behavior of employees. Implications: The study offers theoretical contribution by as it brings new insights to industry practitioners, researcher and academicians by investigating the relationship between procedural justice, work engagement and innovative work behavior thoroughly and simultaneously along with examining work engagement as a mediating variable, making it a unique contribution. The findings of this research are also practically helpful as it provide useful information about a new way of enhancing innovative work behavior of employee i.e. through procedural fairness, so that the keen focus of management should be on improving this factor if it wants to have engaged and best innovative workforce. en_US
