Abstract:
Purpose
The purpose ofthis study is to determine the impact ofwork environment on job satisfaction
of employees working in Communications and Technology Sector of Karachi, Pakistan. The
factors which are considered as a part of work environment for this research are working
conditions, relationship with supervisor, relationship with co-workers, and work-life balance.
This research provides a guide that how these factor affects the job satisfaction of employees.
Methodology & Design
Research model selected is explanatory. Research was carried out by using questionnaire.
Convenience sampling technique was used. The questionnaire was floated among 384
respondents working in Communications and Technology Sector of Pakistan. SPSS software
was used to analyze the data and interpret results.
Findings
Results show that the factors considered as a part of working environment have a positive
effect on job satisfaction. Working conditions, relationship with supervisor, relationship with
coworkers and work-life balance positively affects the job satisfaction.
Limitations
The shortage of time and unavailability of resources was the limitation for this research.
Recommendations
The organizations should focus on the factors discussed to increase the job satisfaction
among their employees.
