dc.description.abstract Purpose Main objective of this study is to understand the role of work environment on the performance ofthe employees. Many researches have conducted various studies for it, but this research specifically pays light on the extrinsic components ofthe work environment which has an impact on the performance ofthe employee working in Fauji Meat Limited and Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals. This research analyzes working conditions that influences employee productivity, health and efficiency. Methodology Deductive approach was adopted for this study. Using purposive sampling technique, quantitative primary data was collected from a sample of217 respondents on5-point Likert scale by the help of questionnaire. The research design is descriptive. The results are derived through statistical tools, Hypothesis Testing, Linear Regression and Reliability tests, using SPSS Version 23. Findings The result ofthe study proves that all physical factors ofthe working environment impact employee performance but among all the considered variables (Ambient Noise, lighting arrangement ofwork place, layout ofoffice furniture and color ofthe compartment).Much attention has focused on the perception of employees about working environment in relation to theirjob performance. Implication This research’s main stakeholders are the middle and upper level management staff who are required to manage the office tasks. This study gives insights to the office managers to understand the usefulness of physical factors of working environment with reference to the employee performance. There are various factors which impact the performance of employees, but the factors discussed in this study gives an obvious signal to the managers that they should provide convenient and eco-friendly physical environment to their employees to improve their productivity. en_US
