Abstract:
Purpose -The purpose ofthe study is to investigate the linkage of knowledge acquisition and
knowledge dissemination and supply chain integration. The study has also aimed at addressing
the moderating impact of cost and innovation orientation on this linkage with regard to the
Pakistani manufacturers.
Methodology & Design - The study avails the survey data collected from supply chain
professionals from the manufacturing organizations in Pakistan. Quantitative and causal
research approach is used and the significance ofthe theoretical relationship is evaluated using
structural model with PLS-SEM.
Findings - The results have supported the direct relationship of KA-SCI and KD-SCI. Also,
the moderating relationships of SCI-CO-KD and SCI-IO-KD.
Limitations - Study is limited to Pakistan as data is collected from a specified group ofsupply
chain professionals in different firms in the manufacturing sector to fill the gap existing in the
sector regarding the present study. Data is obtained from assistant managers, middle level and
senior managers based in Karachi only. Close-ended questionnaire and cross-sectional data is
utilized.
Recommendations - It is recommended for future research to further explore the moderating
effects ofthe organizational behaviour to utilize the advantages of knowledge management in
a better way for making supplier integration stronger.
