| dc.description.abstract | Purpose - The purpose ofthis research is the investigation ofthe relationship of product innovation, process innovation and JIT management practices with the GSC management practices and it also address the mediating effect of TQM in it. The research has been conducted in context to Pakistani manufacturing industries. ; Methodology & Design - The study is conducted by collecting the data from supply chain professionals in Pakistani manufacturing industry. Sample size was 500 from which 387 responses were got. PLS (SEM) was used to evaluate the data and SPSS was used to analyze the demographic data. Quantitative and causal research approach was used where close ended questionnaire was used as a tool. Findings- JIT and Process innovation significantly helps to implement GSC management practices, where TQM when used as a mediating variable can improve the performance. Product innovation has insignificant relation directly with GSC management practices. TQM is very necessary as a mediating variable to implement GSC management practices in Pakistani manufacturing industries. As if implemented properly it can make the relationship significant between product innovation and GSC management practices. Moreover TQM also enhances the relation of process innovation and JIT management practices with GSC management practices. Limitations- The research is limited to Pakistan only, moreover the data is based on convenience sampling from supply chain professionals only in Karachi Manufacturing Organizations. Close ended questionnaire is used as a tool and based on convenience level the respondents are mostly junior level managers having less experience. vi Spring, 2019 36531 Recommendations- Pakistani manufacturing industries should most importantly consider TQM practices like customer focus, product design and statistical process control in JIT practices, product innovation and process innovation in order to fully implement their GSC management practices.
