dc.description.abstract This research explains about the anomalies prevailing in NGO laws of Pakistan, in order to address this matter some of the accountability procedure adopted by foreign countries regarding non-profit sector are also enumerated but this research specifically focus on Pakistani perspective of non-profit sector as these laws are outdated and need to be revised. Further the scattered NGOs under various laws make confusion for the one who wants to register any kind of NGO. In this respect some of the important NGOs laws prevailing in Pakistan are discussed in detail. Few of such laws are Societies Registration Act 1860, Volunteer Social Welfare Registration Ordinance 1961, the issue of multiple laws also give rise to various administrative bodies as for registration of NGO each of the law provides its own criteria and some of the laws are overlapping each other. Hence, the key area of this research is to provide a mechanism in which NGOs and non-profit sector of Pakistan can get synchronize with contemporary needs, by getting shelter under one umbrella. For this purpose some illustrations are provided in this research which can be a way towards reform. en_US
