Abstract:
We designed an efficient, fool proof security and tracking system for an Engine Control Unit (ECU) based automobile. Successful clearance of the security checks activates the ECU, thus allowing the engine to start. Upon three failed attempts at verifying authorization, an SMS is dispatched to the owner, informing him/her of this activity – for which, we integrated a GSM module. The owner has the facility to activate/deactivate the ECU by sending a specified text message to the GSM Module. Geo-fencing techniques are used for enhanced security and tracking of the vehicle. GPS module is integrated into our system for implementing the Geo-fence.
