dc.description.abstract Some organizations have to deal with their fleet. Then they have to manage the fleet in the right way that they operate and manage them correctly for optimal use. If an organization uses the conventional way to manage them through the manual file method then it will create data issues like missing, duplication and inconsistency. Now in this era managing transportation is very difficult for organizations that have a pool of vehicles and use the conventional way to manage and deal with them, like vehicle maintenance, keeping records of vehicles, records of the driver, vehicle availability, etc. All work in Central Military Transport (CMT) Pool, Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Zafar Islamabad is done through the traditional file-based system which consumes a lot of manpower and time, a lot of resources are used when you have large scale transport pool and also this lead to so many issues like missing, duplication and inconsistency of data. To cater to these issues, a web solution for CMT Pool, PNS Zafar Islamabad is being developed. The main objective of the project is to provide an automated vehicle management system to facilitate the vehicle pool. The system will increase the vehicle’s life, fuel consumption, and increasing efficiency and effectiveness through the proper eye on records and routine maintenance. Web application keeps records of vehicle maintenance, keeping track of drivers, vehicle availability and fuel consumption and also provides work order for maintenance and services. This web application will provide facilities to the people of CMT pool PNS Zafar Islamabad to better interact with the vehicles pool. We used different tools and technologies to overcome these problems like Node.JS, Express.JS framework and MongoDB, MongoDB Compass Community for database and using local area networks for communication due to security and confidentiality issues. en_US
