Dyslexia support system

Abstract

Dyslexia is a specific developmental disorder. It affects many children worldwide as well as in Pakistan. Slow learning, difficult in recognizing difference between sounds, fluency in speaking are a few of the symptoms of dyslexia. There are different types of dyslexia, each of which needs a separate practice activity to help overcome it. In order to address this problem a website and mobile application has been developed. This project report presents an overview of the whole system. Website and mobile application serve different purposes. The website is based on a few basic features such as sign up, login, forum whereas diagnosis of dyslexia being the most important one. Mobile application serves the purpose of helping to treat the problem. It consists of different kinds of practice exercise which the user can access after signing up. The record of scores is saved for each respective activity results, the user can then see their progress by comparing their scores if they have improved over time.
