dc.description.abstract	Academic Institutions issues academic certificates/degrees to students on completion of degree program requirements and maintain a record of the academic certificates/degrees issued for verification purposes. In the past few years, cases of forged academic certificates/ degrees have increased and verification of certificates/degrees is a lengthy and time-consuming process. In this project, we used blockchain as it provides immutability to the stored data. The aim of this project was to devise a system that will use blockchain to store academic certificates/degrees on it and provides a method for the verification of academic certificates/degrees eliminating manual verification process and thus saving time. i	en_US
