Location base auto silent app

Abstract

The usage of mobile devices, spch as smartphones has increased drastically over the past years. Most people carry at least one mobile device wherever they go. Many people forget to turn off the volume of their mobile before entering important places like meetings, mosques, classrooms, etc. The sudden ringing of the phone during such gatherings results in embarrassment and remorse for the individual. It also disturbs other people and causes them to break the rhythm of the meeting. Even if people decide that they are going to turn off volumes of their phones, they may still forget about doing so. To cater to this problem, we have developed locations based on auto silence android application. Our application automatically silent the phone upon entering the marked locations. Moreover, it switches back the phone to the general mode when the user exits marked locations. We have used the Geofence API of google mobile services for developing these applications. It automatically switches phone volumes modes based on marked locations. A user no longer needs to worry about switching to si lent mode before entering meetings. Mobile now handles this task itself.
