dc.description.abstract Quiz It – An E-learning Quiz App is an android application that aims to bridge the gap between learning and entertainment. Ranging from Pakistani History to Computer Science, there is a wide variety of quizzes available with 3 difficulty levels for each quiz. Furthermore, users can compete against other users as well through the help of daily challenges. According to a study done by CensusWide, children under the age of 11 spend 3 hours and 18 minutes a day, on average, on mobile devices[1]. These mobile devices are used as a source of entertainment, not just by children, but by adults too. Although entertaining, mobile devices do not provide a lot of sources that improve one’s cognitive learning. Thus, an idea was thought up of an application that could aid in the progression of learning whilst still maintaining a sense of fun. Furthermore, a study by Iván Cantador and José M. Conde for the Autonomous University of Madrid revealed that competition makes for better learning. When there is competition between people, it is human nature to want to win. The study shows that healthy competition is better for learning as long as the activities are enhanced with strategies that make the activities fun, rather than taxing[2]. Thus, an idea popped up to implement a feature in the app that would let users compete against each other. en_US
