dc.description.abstract | This report proposed Final Year Project Construction Management System to replace the current manual system. The Web-Based system will be more efficient and cost saving as compared to the existing system. The manual system is messy and time consuming with lack in efficiency. The main objective of this project is to engage all parties in one collaborative online system systematically as a medium in exchanging information. Developing the system involves the knowledge of web design, web setup, database design, database setup and server setup. Construction Management System will be developed in an open source environment. Using Windows operating system on the server platform, the system will utilize SQL LightSail as its database system and Django as the Web server. The scripting language on server side/backend is Python while HTML with JavaScript is written on client side. Considering three user groups for Construction Management System, there will be different interface and function for each group. Administrator will be managing the system with the task of handling user registrations and accounts. User verification will secure the system. This web enabled project management and its associated features are strongly worth, feasible and relevance in fulfilling the endeavors of the parties concerned. This web application will have 2 users for now, one, the person who enters data for product and product details, enter raw material details, enters number of tiles made and stuff etc. He will have access to an html form page from which he’ll be doing all this. This html will be shown to him only. The other user can only view the visualizations on a dashboard and check about the updated stock. At the end of the day, say 10 pm, the calculations will be done, and emails will be sent to the people as notifications. | en_US |
