Abstract:
IOT or internet of things is the upcoming technology that allows us to control the hardware devices through internet. The Internet of Things (IOT) refers to the linking and processing of information of objects in daily life. More specifically, the IOT consists of a lot of different technologies which make it possible to access and control uniquely identifiable devices in our environment, such as sensors and actuators. Previously many home automation systems were introduced like GSM based home automate systems and other classic home automation systems. Cloud based smart home let the user to control from his or her own smart phone and user can assign actions that should happen depending on time or other sensor readings such as light, A/c, Fan or sound from any device in the Home network and will analyze the data of sensor and energy consumption of the appliances and store this data on cloud. This system checks for the when the particular appliance is working and find for electricity consumption its usages for that particular appliance. The system will let user to schedule the appliance like lights etc in which user will be able to set time and date for that particular appliance and notify the user via notification service. This data will be utilized and displayed on the interface of android device and estimated bill will be calculated. Cloud Based Smart Home systems have evolved into practical, almost essential, parts of a home. The days of wild science fiction speculation have transformed into systems that help homeowners monitor lighting, heating, and cooling systems from programming sensors and microcontroller to alert them whenever a potentially dangerous event is about to occur to allowing them to ensure that everything is fine. Cloud Based Smart Home System is an approach that will meet users requirements in the new era of technology advancement in which people rely mostly on technology.
