Source code plagiarism detector

Abstract

The history of copying work in academic sector is as old as the human itself. Throughout the history different kinds of techniques are developed to tackle this problem. Patents copy rights and trademarks are some examples of the techniques that are used for this purpose. The revolution of technology changed and improved every aspect of our life. It also helped to tackle the problem of plagiarism as well. Various types of software are available that can check the documents for plagiarism. Unfortunately, most of that software can only detect plagiarism in plain language and not in programming languages. To avoid this, we are developing a software that can find similarity in the assignments submitted by students. We will be using parser to parse the code and then apply similarity finding algorithms to get the results
