Abstract:
This study is aimed to determine the relationship of Internet Gaming Disorder or excessive video gaming behaviors with competitive attitudes and aggression among adolescents. The research was carried out on a sample of (N=222)(m=139)(f=83) adolescent students having an age range of 10-19 years, belonging to different private schools and colleges of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The scales used in the study were, IGDS9-SF, BPAQ, and RCI. Results revealed that IGD was more in early adolescents and among males. There is high level of aggression among adolescents who play video games excessively. Findings of the study will help parents and teachers to pay conscious attention towards adolescent gaming behavior. And it will help them to take appropriate measures to lessen the time of adolescents playing video games
