| dc.description.abstract | New technologies and automation systems have changed the way of life. For every task in human life, infonnation technology plays a vital role. Preventive approaches are being applied under the umbrella of Information Technology to improve the medical and health care system. One of the beneficial areas ofresearch is the Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) for secure and reliable services to medical sciences and patients by using sensing and monitoring capabilities. In the traditional system, people suffered physical or psychological diseases, illness and health is always a concern of people. Most developing countries have been always working to develop and improve their healthcare systems for the better life of their citizens. Different approaches have been adopted to overcome different constraints in WBANs where Security is always on top. Biomedical devices and sensor nodes are communicating internally or externally and always the target of attackers. There is a need to design and develop a more secure method for WBAN networks. This study proposes interoperability and Security by using a data authentication scheme for WBAN. The proposed scheme provides security for both internal and external devices using Elliptic Curve technique to be used for key exchange which does not only reduce the computational cost and overhead but in a faster method . Experiments results indicated the better performance of the proposed scheme as compared with the state of the art scheme. | en_US |
