dc.description.abstract The research aims to identify the concerns regarding the endangerment of the Wakhi language in the growing world. The world today is consumed by the internet and the rapid growth of technology, without this knowledge, a person no matter how literate is left crippled in the world of economic and social connectivity, provided by the rapid development in modernization and urbanization, which has unfortunately affected Wakhi language and its culture. This research has explored different factors and their consequences that have affected the Wakhi language, its culture, and tradition. The subjects of my qualitative research were the inhabitants of Passu, Gojal Hunza where data was collected through in-depth interviews with the help of a semistructured interview guide. Themes and sub-themes were exacted using thematic analysis. The findings point out that the growing world has left its mark on the endangerment of the Wakhi and the influence of other dominant cultures, traditions and norms are dynamic and change with time and are influenced by other cultures over time. In the end, this paper gives suggestions/ recommendations for protecting Wakhi. en_US
