dc.description.abstract | This study aims to explore the potential of integration and contribution of Alternative and Complementary Medicine in the health sector, with a primary focus on of Acupunctural treatment. It qualitatively analyzes interview responses of affiliated patients and providers to understand the overall status of acceptance of Acupunctural practice in Pakistan, and the perceptions that are built around it. It also attempts to gauge the efficacy of the treatment through a quantitative inspection of patient records. The findings of the study put forth the possibility of the integration of Acupuncture into the wider medical sphere through the instigation of a nationwide propagation of the treatment, and reshaping of governmental policies in favor of alternative therapies, as a whole, allowing a multiplicity of medical approaches to produce greater and enduring results. | en_US |
