dc.description.abstract Autopilot enables an airplane to fly autonomously. This project is an inspiration from UAV drone. The project has two phases. One phase is for construction of airplane and second phase of development of autopilot system and its application in the plane. A circuit board having Gyros, Accelerometers and dsPIC microcontroller is used to develop autopilot functionality. Programming of microcontroller by calculating the values from sensors allows the user to operate the plane in autopilot mode. Microcontroller sends signals to servomotors in order to control stability of the plane by moving ailerons, rudder and elevator accordingly. In the project an airplane prototype has been designed. Avionics have been integrated to enable manual flight mode. en_US
