dc.description.abstract This study explores various socio economic factors behind diminishing performance of employees working in not for profit organizations. The study identifies various reasons causing burnout among the employees of not for profit organization. There is insufficient knowledge about burnout analysis within not for profit organization, making this study one of its own kind. There is a need of attention particularly in not for profit sector in order to assist, intervene, address and eliminate various factor causing burnout. A qualitative study was being carried out in order to identify reasons behind employee’s burnout as NGOs have to work under such environment where they have to encounter the harsh realities of marginalized people under various difficult circumstances and unpleasant work environment. Various themes emerged during this process; however these themes vary from one working environment to another. This study indicates towards a proper intervention with an approach to target right fundamentals drawn from those themes which contributes to employee’s burnout. This research will be insightful for future researchers to come up with planned intervention strategies. Furthermore, the study also hopes to make a better understanding of burnout in not for profit organizations of Pakistan by recognizing the needs which are required to be considered so that interventions can be made. A lot of work is required to be done regarding training and need assessments of employees in not for profit organization. en_US
