dc.description.abstract The project is entitled to replace conventional energy meters with digital meters. Digital Meters are more accurate and can be enhanced according to technology up gradations. The technological up gradations enhance conventional energy meter to Smart Digital Energy Meter (SDEM). The project includes a control unit for continuous observation of security features and data logging. A GSM kit interfaces with data logger for sending information of units (KWH) to concern authority. The project design also includes various security features such as avoidance of electricity theft and to secure outer structure of a meter. en_US
