Abstract:
The Concentrated Solar Cell Power Generation is a mechanism which enables the user to
enhance the efficiency of a solar panel. By using reflective mirrors, we have enhanced the
efficiency of the solar panels by allowing sunlight to be reflected from the mirrors onto the
panel. The reflected rays are concentrated to an area on the panel leading to an increase in the
current and eventually leading to an increase in the output power, thereby increasing the
efficiency. The mechanism consists of a mechanical structure which holds and carries the
weight of the solar panel and the mirrors. Three mirrors have been used. The movable
mechanical structure acts like a solar tracker. The rotation of the structure is achieved by
using a DC motor. An inverter is used in this mechanism as well, which converts direct
current (DC) from a single solar panel to an alternating current (AC). The values of the solar
panel temperature, ambient temperature, current and voltages have been saved separately on
an Excel file.
