dc.description.abstract Radar Cross Section of an object is the measure of its size seen by a radar and is expressed as m2. RCS depends upon the relative size of the object. An object is modeled in 2D system using different materials and then its RCS has been calculated by assuming different impedance boundary conditions using the RF module of COMSOL Multi-physics 4.0. Results of the far field radiation pattern, the polar plot of RCS as a function of incidence angle and the figures showing total field norm for a certain degree of angle of incidence and zero phase have been simulated. An attempt has also been made to reduce the RCS of this aircraft by considering different parameters like active and passive cancellation, purpose shaping, diverse material properties including radar absorbent materials (RAMs), optimization methods. en_US
