dc.description.abstract Telemedicine is an innovative tool that is helping to improve the health of human being around the world. This project aims at utilizing the concept of telemedicine to be used by the specialist to give inpatient and outpatient care, instruct doctors and patients, and direct restorative research. This project defines the importance of telemedicine in responding in emergencies and providing access of patient’s health condition to the doctor in order to treat critical patient. The main objective ofthis project is to give special care to the patient that is in I.C.U or recovering from I.C.U. It has been done by not only monitoring the patient’s crucial parameters but also sending them to a remote location. Patient’s health parameters such as temperature, blood pressure and heart beat are monitored continuously and these parameters are sent to a server using GSM modem. The Physician/paramedical staff is able to view the health conditions of the patient remotely through web application. An smart phone application is also designed so that these parameters can also be viewed on the smart phone through the app. The purpose of designing this remote health monitoring device is to measure the basic parameters ofthe patient. If any ofthe reading is not normal then specialist can response quickly by checking those readings on his screen. This device used four sensors for the detections of the signals which is fed to a microcontroller Arduino that generates a digital output following the instruction given in a C language program en_US
