dc.description.abstract The objective of this project is to develop an android app specifically design to aid the children suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who find it Challenging to communicate with others. A person who is suffering from ASD find it difficult to learn new things and figure out the sentences but it can be made effortless for them to better communicate when technology plays its part. A Non-verbal communication practice for the ASD children is the Picture Exchange Communication System in which children using cards and each card consists of a picture, which can combine to form a complete sentence. At the current time physical cards is used and there is no application which helps the people with ASD to talk and communicate freely using virtual picture cards strike by PECS. Along with PEC method, our application is going to detect autistic children mood and expression using Image processing algorithms from OpenCV, show cards according to mood, built a sentence using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and speaks also using Text to speech (TTS) according to the selection of cards.
