dc.description.abstract In this fast and advance world many inventions on daily base. As the world is getting busier the demand of the automated system is also increasing as well. It is not possible to promote development in our country with power failure in general. The investors do not feel comfortable with power failure up to eight hours daily to come into our country. This limits the development of industries, private and public sectors as well. And also due to frequent load shedding in Pakistan, the use of diesel generator sets has increased tremendously. The cost of automatic generators is very high. In this project an automated system has been developed which turns ON the generator on power failure and turns it OFF after power returns. In addition to make it convenient for the end user, a GSM interface has been built in the project. The user can turn ON/OFF the generator using his/her mobile phone. The level of voltage, current, frequency and status of the generator is also indicated via GSM. The system has been designed for single phase but it is extendable for three phase as well. An appropriate delay has been added as per industry practice. en_US
