dc.description.abstract With the technological advances in smart phones and laptops, higher data rates have become a necessity of the present wireless digital communication systems. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a very popular wireless technique for wideband digital communication which provide high data rates and is used in applications such as digital television, audio broadcasting and broadband internet access. The primary advantage of OFDM over single-carrier schemes is its ability to cope with severe channel conditions e.g. attenuation of high frequencies in a long copper wire, narrowband interference and frequency-selective fading due to multipath without complex equalization filters. In this project, an OFDM transceiver is designed using Verilog language and implemented in Spartan3 FPGA device. Simulation and implementation results are generated using Xilinx ISE. en_US
