Abstract:
Purpose: The purpose of this research study is to ascertain the impact of talent management
practices on employee performance. Managing high quality talented employee, through seeking,
identifying, developing, deploying and retaining strategies, result into enhanced employee as
well as organizational performance. So paying attention towards talent management practices
that contribute to employee performance is indispensable.
Methodology & Design: A quantitative correlation methodology has been used to complete this
research study. Deductive approach has been opted. Using a well structured questionnaire data
has been collected from respondents. Non probability sampling method has been used for
selection of sample. Using both hard and soft copies of questionnaire data has been collected
from respondents.
Limitations: This research study has been conducted on banking sector at Karachi. Due to
various constraints like time, cost and availability of respondents, probability sampling method
that ensures more rigorous of research has not been used and non probability convenience
sampling method has been opted for collection of data from respondents. The key limitation of
this study is that it relies on the feedback of respondents, as they will reply we have to rely.
Individual behavior, likeness and dis-likeness may impact ofthe data.
Recommendations: Talent management practices highlighted in this study have specific
significance in enhancing employee performance that leads to organization success. So in order
to improve organizational productivity and success, banking sector ofKarachi must pay attention
towards improving talent management practices. Impact of learning and development on
employee performance has been emerged as having the strongest relationship. Hence, it is
recommended that banking sector needs to pay specific attention towards imparting all necessary
leaning & development interventions to their employee for enhanced productivity
