| dc.description.abstract | Purpose This main aim and purpose ofthis research is evaluating the intermediating influence of organizational engagement on helpful working atmosphere and employee retention. Methodology & Design A quantitative study method was used in the research to evaluate the relationship among supportive working environment and employee retention. The primary data for the study was collected from 282 employees from the banking sector. Secondary data for the study was gathered from research journals, books and new articles. Multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis. Reliability analysis was also used to test the validity to the variables. Findings The results ofthis research recommends that supportive working environment play a vital part in predicting employee retention. The outcomes also suggest that organizational engagement play a mediating role among employee retention and supportive work practices. Limitations The data in the research was limited to employees from banking sector in Karachi. Moreover the cross sectional design ofthe research as small sample size was also a limitation. Recommendations The findings ofthis research recommend that HR practitioners and executive must implement supportive work practices and offer work life balance for better retention oftheir top talent. | en_US |
