| dc.description.abstract | Purpose This study is based on the concept of identifying job stress variable that affect employee performance mediating the role of work life balance. The aim of this research is to identify the factors ofjob stress and its impact on employee performance mediating the role of work life balance in Pakistani banking sector. Methodology The study is conducted in branches of 3 different banks of Karachi Pakistan center to 257 respondents. The study is based on descriptive research deign using a survey questionnaire as it instrument and used convenience sampling to obtain the sample. The total number of questionnaires that were distributed was 380 but only 257 were responded and analyzed. Findings Highlights of the findings indicated that there is significant relationship between job stress variables and employee performance mediating the role ofwork life balance with r=0.955. When independent variables were analyzed individually using regression analysis results revealed that both independent variables role ambiguity and role conflict significantly correlated to employee performance with p value 0.008(p=0.0080.05) and 0.00 l(p=0.0010.05) respectively which are lower than 0.05 level of significance whereas there is no relationship between work overload(p=0.432>0.05) and employee performance. Practical implications Based on these findings it can be recommended that banking sector ofPakistan should introduce policies and procedures that promote employee performance and should identify factors that can make employee mentally and physically stressed apart form that this research can be used as an helping hand for organization who are working and for promoting employees work life balance and want to stay connected with their employees | en_US |
